Weqas Connect

Careers Events

During the summer we visited career events at Cardiff Metropolitan University and the Bishop of Llandaff CiW High School, which was an opportunity to provide information about Biomedical Science careers and the paths taken to obtain the qualifications required to become a certified Biomedical scientist. We had a great time engaging with the students and we hope to have inspired a few to pursue a future career in Biomedical Science.

Visitors from Malawi

As part of an initiative to share our expertise with organisations from other countries, this year we had the pleasure of hosting two colleagues from Malawi. During their three week visit to our Cardiff offices they were able to tour our facilities, shadow Weqas colleagues during various laboratory tasks, and gain valuable insight on how we run our EQA programmes.

Visit to Malaysia

In September our EQA Client Manager, Nicola Blount, travelled to Malaysia as part of a trip to visit several distributors in the country. Nicola was also invited to speak at the Mindray Urinalysis Workshop in Port Dickson.
